Anybody afraid of spiders?
I'll let you in on an insider tip. In Specter Ops, you don't want to be found. When you are found you get cornered, when you get cornered you get slowed down. You don't want to be slowed down. With a good group of Hunters that will be inevitable, and it is only a matter of time. With a good Agent, you are prepared for the inevitable.
Today we are taking a look at Spider. Maneuvering a bit differently than Cobra, Spider also seems to function a bit similarly with the desire to leave a Hunter stunned, but hers may a bit of an advantage when trying to get away.
First we see her Evasion ability, with which Hunters get -2 to their attack rolls when they are within 3 spaces of her. So, she's harder to hit, but not impossible... but hey, any way to avoid damage is a great advantage in Specter Ops, especially when there is a mission that must be completed and a limited amount of time and life to do so.
Her twice-charged Tangle Line card can become your best friend. While we see Cobra being able to stun close units and have then the ability to get away, he'll still be in close proximity since he needed to be right next to the Hunter to stun them. Being able to potentially stun a unit from a further distance ensures you can maximize your distance away from them when they take their turn. Plus, a stunned unit is restricted to moving two spaces, so stunning a unit at any distance is a good call if you need to gain some traction.
Spiders are not our friends; they are dangerous monsters with traps and webs and fangs. This Spider is hell-bent siccing her fangs into the heart of Raxxon.
