Plaid Hat Games at Essen Spiel '26
Hello, Plaid Hatters!
We've had a number of announcements and updates recently, and we'd like to share them with you. But first, let's talk about the huge event looming over everything!
Essen Spiel '26
Essen Spiel '26, the largest gaming convention of all time, is just around the corner and Plaid Hat Game will be there! Come to stand 3C415 to say hello, play some games, or pick up some titles you're still looking for!
Earlier this year, we successfully funded The Monolith on Kickstarter. This brilliant game of frothing cultists, desperate to sacrifice hearts to the evil obelisk that holds them in thrall, is coming very soon. Visit our stand, play it, and find out why we're so excited for The Monolith's upcoming release. If you've never dropped little plastic hearts into an evil monolith, then you need to discover what true happiness really is!
Super Auto Pets Card Battle has been a hit for us and it's easy to understand why. The game is simple to learn, plays fast, and takes up little space on the table. Yet the strategic depth and crazy card combos players can discover, will keep you coming back time and time again. We will be running demos and selling the Magic, Classic, and Golden Packs. We will also have our con-exclusive Bonus Pack 1. This little packet of cards can be blended into any of the other sets, giving you a touch of added variety.
We will be bringing the Ashes Ascendancy line with us, including the new Ashes Ascendancy Natural Magic Expansion. Still need some Ashes Reborn sets for your collection? We will be bringing many of those along with us as well!
Summoner Wars! We didn't have Summoner Wars with us last year, so there was no way we were going to let that happen again! We're bringing a large supply of Summoner Wars to help you fill out your collection, including the two newest sets: The Thornhold Drey and Moonsteppe Wolves! You told us you needed to know if squirrels could beat werewolves in a fight, and by golly, we listened!
So... is that it? Hmm, it seems like something is missing. Something offbeat and mysterious...
Ashes Ascendancy: The Illusion Magic Expansion is Coming!
We recently announced the upcoming Q1 release of the Ashes Ascendancy Illusion Magic Expansion. This exciting set brings in two new Phoenixborn. One is a master of both illusion and astral magic, while the other blends illusion and artifice magic. This never before seen blend of magic types brings a wealth of new options to the game. And like all Ashes Ascendancy products, it comes with a full set of illusion dice, so new players only need this and the Ashes Ascendancy Starter Set to jump right into the action!
Of course we haven't forgotten about you solo/co-op players! This expansion also introduces a new Dragonborn that brings a unique level of menace to your games! Prepare to have your deck and skills put to the test!
Would you like to see more? We have released three preview articles so far, showing off the new cards in this set. Preview 1 spoils the new Phoenixborn and their signature cards. Preview 2 reveals cards that build on the core premise of each Phoenixborn. And Preview 3 rounds out the spoilers with the rest of the Phoenixborn decks. Keep your eyes on our news page for the next round of previews which will reveal the cards for the new Dragonborn!
Summoner Wars: The Goblin Circus and Empyreal Avians are on Their Way!
Two new factions have been announced for Summoner Wars! The Goblin Circus and Empyreal Avians will bring new levels of insanity and excitement to the war for Itharia. Coming in Q1 of next year, watch our news page for previews beginning later this month!
That's it for now! Thanks for reading, and if you're at Essen Spiel '26, we hope to see you!
