Thornhold Drey and Moonsteppe Wolves: Preview 2
Welcome back Summoners! Last week we showed off the summoners for the Thornhold Drey and Moonsteppe Wolves, along with their epic events. This week we'll be covering their common units. First, some squirrels:
The intrepid Bramble Knight is especially nimble, particularly with structures, and just like the squirrels at your local park, it can get tougher in a gang.
The scouts of the Drey are master snipers, frustrating their foes by popping in and out of cover with ease. Even worse, each time they appear they can get themselves in line for the perfect shot!
Guild Tinkerers can foil would-be attackers as easily as the scouts. But what good are structures if your enemy destroys them? Keep some Tinkerers handy to keep your defenses in tip-top shape.
The Thistle Wizard will combo with your knights to keep your structures boosted and the knights squadded up. And fitting in with the faction's theme, they're also fast and able to pass through structures!
You can really see how the mostly-ranged Thornhold Drey are all about combining their speed and maneuverability with structures. But what about those howling wolves?
The new blood of the Moonsteppe Wolves aren't the hardest-hitting units, but oh my, they can't wait to sink their teeth into enemy summoners. Their Follow Scent ability makes Luna's wolfing out even more enticing!
Wait, more Wolf synergy? Yep! These bestial baddies combo nicely with each other and their transformed masters.
Moonlight Hunters lend ranged firepower to the warriors of the Moonsteppe, but can also be used to heal up Wolves located in critical positions!
Some member of the Moonsteppe Wolves are never ever able to reclaim their humanity. These lost souls are the most feared members of the pack, able to call other commons to their side. And the fact that they can boost each other and other Wolves, only makes them more fearsome.
That wraps up this week's preview! Check back next Friday as we delve into the champions of these two factions.
The Thornhold Drey and Moonsteppe Wolves will be available in retail stores and the Plaid Hat Games web-store in Q2 of 2026!
