Ah, summer! It's a magical time of year, even for those of us who are all grown up and still have to work. Speaking of work, man oh man, have we been busy. Here's all the latest news from Plaid Hat Games!
GEN CON 2025
Gen Con 2025 is just around the corner, and Plaid Hat Games will be there to tempt you with our offerings. This will be our first year to have Wandering Galaxy: A Crossroads Game for sale, and we will happily run you through our demo story made specifically for conventions. Drop by and see why we're super proud of this sprawling narrative game!
We just wrapped up recording the audio for this game, and it should all be edited and ready-to-go before the con starts!
But that's not all! Earlier this year we ran a Kickstarter campaign for Ashes Ascendancy, the next phase of our hit card battler. While the game won't be available for sale at the con, we will be running demos of the new solo/co-op mode. If you backed the campaign or have always been curious about Ashes, drop by, try it out, and discover why Ashes is still flourishing after ten years!
If you're already a fan of Ashes Reborn or Summoner Wars, you might want to jump into a tournament at Gen Con. Ashes has some sweet prizes, including a chance to win stone dice matching those used with your grand-prize winning deck! What better way to show off just how elite you are?

ASHES ASCENDANCY
We just released pdfs of the new Ashes Ascendancy rules, as well as a PVP quick start guide for new players. If you've been thinking about Ashes, check 'em out. With the ability to play head-to-head or solo/co-op, Ashes offers something for everyone!

We recently announced Ashes Reborn: The End of Argaia, the final installment in the Red Rains cycle, and the final product to bear the Ashes Reborn name! Keep your eyes on our website for previews for this set. If you're not already, sign up for Covenant's Ashes Reborn subscription to be among the first in the world to get your hands on this momentous expansion three months before anyone else!
WANDERING GALAXY
We've made tremendous progress with the audio for Wandering Galaxy: A Crossroads Game! We have finally wrapped on recording our talented cast of voice actors, and now only the final editing remains. The whole thing should be ready before Gen Con.
We've released audio in waves for our previous Crossroads Game entries, but this one was a real doozy on account of the word count being around 400k!
Suffice to say, this is our meatiest adventure game to date, so players will have lots to explore and discover. In addition to three campaigns to play through, the app also features an exciting free play mode, so you can experience this massive sandbox game however you desire.
SUMMONER WARS
We've had a lot going on with Summoner Wars! First, we recently released the Isle Vekkid and Spectral Conclave faction. These factions are available as physical cards as well digital on Summoner Wars Online. We also just announced the upcoming Drakesun Rebellion and Guild Dwarves factions.
The Drakesun Rebellion are destined for notoriety seeing as how they have a gigantic dragon in their starting setup! Players of First Edition will remember the Guild Dwarves well, but their new incarnation offers a lot to players fond of building and exploiting structures! We'll be offering previews of the cards in these decks soon, so watch our web page!
Perhaps the biggest Summoner Wars news is the launch of summonerwars.com! This site can act as your gateway to Summoner Wars Online, but also has a massive collection of strategy guides, card images, lore, and more! We will be updating with each new faction's release, so be sure to bookmark it!
