Not sure about these. I already have the entire collection sleeved and thus doesn't seem like a good investment, for me at least. Also, cleaning and sorting the faction cards after a match gets harder if the cards have the same back cover.

I use the Mayday chimera sleeves 57.5 X 89 mm

Also, why are they 61 mm in width ? 59 are too loose, 57 way too tight so 57.5 really is the sweet spot.

How easy is it to sleeve and de-sleeve cards with these? I can't justify buying enough to sleeve my entire collection, but would like to sleeve two factions at any given time for a two person, casual game.

(There was an incident with abua shi and leftover chocolate ice cream that I'd like to guard against. ;-) )

Got these at Gencon. Previously did not sleeve. These fit really well, look great, and make shuffling a lot easier. I wish I'd gotten more, but I also share concerns that sleeving all my decks with these could make sorting difficult after a match.

Doesn't seem expensive at all to me. They are very high quality.

I sleeve my draw pile and my starting lineup differently. Helps with setup.

@jouster

You don't HAVE to sleeve with these. I have Chimera on all my cards too, two sets of everything actually. These sleeve fit perfectly, but so did the chimera. The extra width isn't noticible, but if you are like me and also wasted hundreds of chimeras that were wrongly sized too small and they would bend the cards, these won't give you that problem. They come right to the edge length wise similar to Deckpro sleeves but give you a solid back and similar feel to the black backed sleeves, only Chimera-sized.

Thanks for the twitter pic, these look amazing! So how many packs would I need to sleeve every SW card to date? Do I go all in or a couple at a time?

By the time Second Summoners is done, there will be a whopping 40 starter decks. Generally a deck has 34 cards, not sure if there are exceptions to this. That is 1360 sleeves right there. Reinforcements seem to be a bit smaller, so I'll just guess 240 sleeves for them. Then there is the occasional side deck of walls / conjurations / whathaveyou, so let's guess 80 for that. 1680 sleeves, or 42 packs, assuming you haven't bought duplicates for full playsets of every card, would be my guess for how many you'd need to sleeve every single card ever, once the current cycle of releases is done.

Personally, I'd just get enough to sleeve a deck for each summoner and forget about extra cards, in which case 34 packs should do the trick or come close.

A little too expensive for my liking. For the price of sleeving an entire collection you could buy a second full collection at certain websites.

My big problem with sleeves like these isbthatbthey seem to obstruct your view on card backs, which can hirt with mercs and allainces

@sitnam

I think that's the point. So that your whole deck will be uniform instead of having up to 4 different card backs. I would buy these if they made them for individual factions, but I think 24 different sleeves might be asking for a bit much...

Question: Will the Alliances Master Set come with 2 sets of sleeves? They look awesome!

TrueLink commented:

These look really good! Unfortunately, I've already sleeved every deck I have in different colored Ultra Pros. I also picked up every color I'm not using so I can sleeve future decks. Having different color borders around the cards really makes analyzing the board quick and easy--especially in a 2v2 game.

@sitnam90 - That's one of the things I like about sleeving Summoner Wars cards. I don't want anyone to know what people have or will draw based on the color of the card.

@Adam - They had these at GenCon? Damn. I missed that. I would have totally picked up a pack.

So how many would you need to be able to sleeve everything so far if you own one set of everything, including alliances

Posted on 2014-09-10.

TrueLink commented:

If you own one set of everything and you wanted to sleeve it all, including rules and reference cards, I believe it should take about 1454 sleeves. This number includes 16 alternate art cards and four promos.

That's 37 packs. The good news is, you would have 26 spare sleeves.
