Rodney Smith of Watch it Played has his pre-release copy of Dead of Winter! He's working hard on the full instructional video (who needs rule books?) but until then he was kind enough to make this overview video of Dead of Winter!

Subscribe to Watch it Played, like me! (Rodney, can I be in your family so I can play games with you and your kids?) And check out the overview video below.

Looks very involved. Plaid hat crew or devoted fans: do you think this game would be friendly to those who don't play board games that often? Perhaps to complicated or too much to think about to enjoy for those who have a short attention span. ( not me I think this game rocks, preordered the day it was available)

fp, I don't think it's tough at all as long as there's an experienced gamer who knows the rules and helps everything go smoothly.

Great watch and great explanation! I've been trying so hard to explain the game play to anyone who'll listen - now I'm just going to forward this video. :) Thanks!!

Standees are awesome for people that have no painting skills like me... I don't know why they get such a bad rap... look at that art.... beautiful...

Besides I imagine the price can be kept low with standees versus miniatures.

Great job PHG!

I'm planning on sleeving the game...what's the total number of cards and are they all the same size?
