PHG in the Geek Madness Tourney
Summoner Wars gets an auto-berth; M&M has a chance for a wild-card berth
It's time for the annual Geek Madness Tournament held at BoardGeemGeek.com! This is an informal tournament where game players vote on their favorite games in a single-eliminiation format, like the NCAA "March Madness" basketball tournament. As we reported last year, 2013 was the first year that Summoner Wars was in the tournament.
SWs in it again with an automatic berth since it is the top 50 of BGG's game ratings. The good news is that Mice & Mystics also has a chance for a berth. The final 14 slots will be filled by the nominated games that get the most thumbs, and M&M is one of the nominees. As I write this, it has the 13th highest number of thumbs -- I checked the whole list to see -- which gives it a good chance of making it, but a reasonable chance of being left out.
To vote in this preliminary round, go to the Mice and Mystics entry in the list, and click on the green thumb icon. You need to have a BGG account (they're free) and be signed in to do this.
Voting for this round ends Sunday, March 16th,at approximately 1:00 pm BGG time (Central).
