Today we’ll examine the aspects of the Dragonborn opponent found in the Ashes Ascendancy Illusion Magic Expansion: Desrya!
Desrya’s set of conjured reaction spells are sure to dismantle your attack plans. However, you can’t simply try to play without going on the offensive, for aspects like Supernova or Futurescrape feature incredibly destructive abilities if you allow their green box to tick down to zero, or Requiem, which if allowed to attack can wreak serious havoc on your battlefield!
Desrya is also equipped with plenty of dice manipulation, both to her benefit and your dismay. This rewards her should you choose to play the long game against her. It's yet another force pressuring you into attacking frequently and taking your chances against her suite of reaction spells.
For Desrya's final trick to pull you into her trap, Beckoning Call forces your hand, demanding you take an attack action next turn. Be prepared with a variety of attacking options, because you never know when this aspect will call one of them forth, so best be prepared with as many options as you can muster.
