New Mercenary with the Summoner Wars Comic!
Earlier this year we announced that Plaid Hat Games was working with Battle Quest Comics to bring a Summoner Wars comic book to life! Simply titled Summoner Wars, this four-part series will allow players to delve deeper into the world of Itharia. Since the announcement, players have been clamoring for details and today we are dropping two tasty nuggets.
First up, each issue will have variant covers, exclusive to comic retailers, that feature the artwork of none other than Martin Abel, the primary illustrator for Summoner Wars Second Edition! What's more, issue #1, with the retailer-exclusive covers, will contain a new mercenary card! That's right, this mercenary card will feature a character from the comic, allowing you to build them into your faction decks. But who is it?!?
We'll give you one hint: this character has appeared in Summoner Wars before!
The second factoid we want to share today is every Summoner Wars subscriber who receives copies of the physical game, will be receiving this comic! That's right, we're going to send you the comic along with your usual subscription goodies when it releases later this year. Don't have a subscription?
