Greeting Phoenixborn!
Ashes Ascendancy is off to a rip-roaring start! The new Ashes Ascendancy Starter Set has hit retail stores (not to mention our own web-store), and we've been delighted to see people jumping into the game. The first new retail product, Ashes Ascendancy: Natural Magic Expansion, will be out late May/early June, and we thought we would formally announce the expansion structure we have planned.
Each upcoming expansion is designed to easily pair with the Ashes Ascendancy Starter Set. Each will feature another existing magic type, and provide 10 dice of that featured magic type to ensure new players have the simplest path forward for expanding their collection. There will be two new Phoenixborn decks in every expansion, each combining that expansion's featured magic type with astral or artifice magic. Love co-op or solo play? Each expansion will also include a new Dragonborn opponent, offering up new opposing play styles and challenges to overcome. Face the Dragonborn with your new or existing decks, or build new decks designed to compete with this singular foe.

Maeve Luminvale uses natural and artifice magic to cultivate powerful green technologies and growing methods, filling up the battlefield with vicious vegetation! Spread your Snapseed conjurations all across your greenhouse, then supercharge them with artifice magic to blossom them into Snaptraps! Furthermore, Snaptraps can continue to evolve when overcharged, but proper gardening takes time, so you’ll have to wait and see what their final form will be!
To properly care for your Snapseed army, you can utilize various tools to protect and grow them. Photovoltaics is a slow but efficient source of magic and charges, while the Botanist can provide proper protection for your conjured creatures.
Kanna Galeheart commands the forces of weather through natural and astral magic, summoning powerful winds, lightning, and water to devastate the battlefield! Her Aeromancy ability gives tremendous access to a powerful array of storm elements, ensuring you can shift the tides in your favor at will. Strike down big threats with Searing Bolt, strike with precision with Puncturing Wind, or upend everything with the might of Hurricane!
Soaring alongside Kanna are her trusty Galewind Hawks. These conjurations carry a small fraction of Kanna’s weather-summoning capabilities, flexibly calling forth the power of natural or astral magic as conditions demand. As all of these winged fighters flock together, Tailwind threatens to unleash a mighty galeforce attack!
