Thanks to all who participated in Heroic Feat 2012 this past weekend! We had 12 competitors and the complete results can be viewed in the official forum thread.

Congrats especially to Matt, who went 4-0 and won the tournament. You can view the championship match between Matt and BTBAM (Brian) below. The video is in 720p and at that resolution you can see everything clearly. I sped up the video to 2x speed for your convenience.

Keep your eyes peeled at PlaidHatGames.com for more info on tournaments and other events. Be sure to contact me at [email protected] if you are running a tournament yourself.

Neat! Weren't we supposed to get a video of the ios champonship match (well the match between the top two) too, or did that already happen?

Yeah, still working on that. Playdek has provided the video but I haven't had time to set up a Skype commentary session yet.

Yikes, painful to watch. Should have grabbed that SO/FK match :)

Haha must've been a camera malfunction on that one. ;)

This actually just makes me want to record my real life Summoner Wars games in the future and then record commentary with strategy tips, etc. I'm very happy with how the visual turned out. At 720p you can see what's happening really clearly.

Pretty cool! Thanks for sharing. So is this a timed game? If so, how much time does each player get? You have a chess clock or something?

We were supposed to be using 25 minutes per player, but I don't think anyone really did. There were 1 or 2 games that might've went to time had that been a factor, but I don't think it would've really changed the results. Joe and I's game probably would've timed out, but I think I took more time anyway.

joepinion commented:

Yeah I think with 4 rounds or less it suffices to just say "take your turn quickly, please." However if you want to get 5 rounds in the chess clocks are probably necessary.

Pretty much what K.C.said. A few games would have went to time, but I think everyone there would have rather finished the games, than take a win due to time.
