Swamp Orcs

Swamp Orcs Faction

The Swamp Orcs are the orcs other orcs fear. They are agents of chaos and destruction, sowing terror long before they engage their foes. In battle the Swamp Orcs create a twisting network of Vine Walls that burst forth from the corpses of the slain. These walls terrorize enemy soldiers and disrupt enemy battle plans.

A Swamp Orc player will seek to grow their board position, growing their unit’s effectiveness in enemy territory as they do. A Swamp Orc player will choke their opponents out of the game, giving them no ground with which to regroup.

I love them in Farrah's deck. Farrah needs help anti-rush and this statline is incredible. With Rune Smiths they lose the downside and you may even snag a champ as a Trophy and then get it into your hand via Preserve.

Jman commented on Swamp Beast:

This is not a unit you have fighting by itself. The ability to get a summoning point in your enemys half is a great tool. But a waste if they can just destroy it in the same turn it got placed. When he dies, that forces your opponent to either use a second attack to destroy that vine he just left, or attack other units you have that could be a problem, and could give them magic. If they choose to attack the vine wall, great, it saved one of your other units from being attacked and they get no magic from it. And if they don't attack it, then also great, now you can summon off of it. Definitely never pack 5 in a deck. 2 is more than enough, and if you never see a time fit to use them then just build them. Think about this unit as a 2av 4health unit that ALWAYS will take 2 attacks to completely get rid of them, and that you could possibly summon off of (since he gets a vine when he goes down) When you look at him like that, 3 magic seems like a pretty fare cost for him considering what he

Jman commented on Splub:

Nice it Natazga. Pretty much whatever he attacks, you're gonna be getting a vine wall out of it.

Jman commented on Zur Lak:

He's great in blub's deck as another way to get vine walls. Turt is the one usually that makes way, since blub likes the extra mobility and vine walls. Besides, turts true home is in Natazga anyway.

Jman commented on Skull Taker:

Add them into Farah's deck with Rune Smith's. Great, cheap, strong units, without the drawback of self magic denial. As if Farah isn't annoying enough as it is..

Zwierzakov commented on Swamp Archer:

Yeah exactly. Its interpretation problem but its logical that rule was to prevent situation when there is unit on Vine Wall. Rule should be made longer to clarify it. Cannot shoot when there is unit onto vine wall card.

commandercool commented on Swamp Archer:

@Mr. BrickaBracka: that's wrong. That was what I originally thought, too, but I clarified with KC and Fury of the Fen VWs are still VWs, they're just also Merc units, and that being a Merc unit doesn't preclude them from being a VW. The only work the merc unit language of FOTF does is that it prevents the FOTF-VW from synergizing with Erosion.

Mr. BrickaBracka commented on Swamp Archer:

Fury of the Fen actually prevents Swamp Archers from attacking through Vine Walls because the Event makes them Mercenary Units for the turn, so those spaces now contain a Unit and Vine Wall.

Zwierzakov commented on Zur Lak:

Short strategy toughts. Most effective played as mana.

Zwierzakov commented on Swamp Archer:

I love this unit ! Such nice combination and good combo with fury of the fen. Shooting through a fury of vine walls ! Awesome.
