Mountain Vargath

Mountain Vargath Faction

The Mountain Vargath are a proud warrior race that seeks only to protect their homeland and culture. They look down upon the greed of the other factions of Itharia, and will not hesitate to crush any perceived threat, be it real or otherwise. To face the Mountain Vargath is to face an avalanche of fur, muscle, and hooves.

A Mountain Vargath player is fearless. A Mountain Vargath player gets their Summoner involved in the battle, operates in enemy territory, and owns the board. Playing the Mountain Vargath is all about building a rolling tide of goatmen that out-muscles the enemy at every turn.

Zebulin commented on Luka:

This champ is overrated. Unless your facing the PE, BE or JE, I'd leave her home. The BE and JE have amazing abilities, and the PE have amazing champs. Canceling Burning Blade? Breath of Flame? Burning Concription on a melee deck? She's only worth it then.

seto_akari commented on Brute:

You can choose the direction. 3 straight line to the left, right of the attacked unit or away from the Brute.

Gyouza commented on Brute:

I am sure this maybe obvious but it came up in my first Vargath game. Does the Vargath player choose the direction of knockback or is it a straight line away from him. This affects strategy and when the opponent brought it up we went the less powerful one.

thenightsshadow commented on Storm Mage:

That's correct, emanb830, Storm Mages with one Wound on it can use CALL LIGHTNING to deal two wounds and be placed in your Magic Pile.

emanb830 commented on Storm Mage:

can the storm mage use its ability if it already has one wound on it?? if it can, does it go into the magic pile of the user??

thenightsshadow commented on Muster:

It's what makes this Event an interesting Event. MUSTER allows very interesting assassination techniques. Try Bounders, Time Mages, or Rune Mages; all three Mercenaries have interesting implications in the Mountain Vargath.

TheOne commented on Muster:

Muster can target Merc commons too. No discrimination, as long as you control it. Go fiddle with your Commons.

thenightsshadow commented on Luka:

Luka works best behind Walls, whether it be her opponent's or allies'. DISRUPTION FIELD is a strong ability but beware when facing the Cave Goblins and Tundra Orcs; their negatives become neutral and they can fight harder. You really don't want to DISRUPT Blagog.

TheOne commented on Luka:

Another ranged unit for the MV. Worth the steep price of 7. This disabler and support Champ could tank some, but don't get her killed. She ruins lives. *bleat*

thenightsshadow commented on Varn:

For an Event-using Mountain Vargath, I can't imagine anything better than Varn. Muster just gets better with him in play near Sunderved, and he's a great blocker for the Goat Summoner. Better yet, because of how the Mountain Vargath play, you can easily get him up to 4 or 5 attack when attacking a Wall, and you pay 1 less for Growden. Imagine that.
