    Default The Book of Brutes

    The Book of Brutes
Common of the Mountain Vargath - Master Set

Bio: The mandate of the Brute is clear: smash the enemy with your majestic crown; send the enemy flying back down the mountain; revel in the glory of being a Vargath!

    Rulings and Clarifications
Q: Can I Knock Around Summoners too?
A: Yes. Any unit can be Knocked Around.

Q: Can units with Trample or Flight be Knocked over other units?
A: No. Those units can be Knocked, but they can't move over other units as the card states that they must be "clear spaces".

Q: Can I Knock a unit past a Guild Dwarves Defender?
A: If the Knocked Unit is an enemy of the Defender, then no. If the Knocked Unit isn't, then yes.

Play Queso + Brute, punch the cheese in it's face launching it toward your opp for some cheesy damage... fun?

you can move Queso afterward for more cheesy fun
That's pretty funny, though I don't really like attacking Queso. I'd much rather just CoH him or a Vermin and get the extra wounds that way.

I assume you can't attack Torodin with a Brute, and move him through other Units to get Trample wounds, right? Because the Brute can only Knock Around through clear spaces?

True. Well, you can attack Torodin, and push him, but he can't trample during that push because those spaces wouldn't be empty.

Same goes for Flight and Greater Flight.

more and more I like this unit the most from VM, his ability just very fun

punch a unit back into their own wall, clogging their next summon spot... punching the Eater back into it's manhole (away from any common whatsoever)... punching away those annoying defender freeing your unit... punch Grubs away his summoner so hard that he'll starts crying... set up in a way so you can punch someone three times like a ball

So much fun, also do note that you can knock a unit which ever direction you like

I think I'll mainly use these as body guards for Sunderved when he gets into the thick of things. Have these two next to him and let everyone else do the dirty work with his boost.
