I would also assume you can summon a mercenary that was an opponents but is in your reshuffled draw pile. If you combine this with free build it might be interesting.

    4-player, Apocalyptic free build.

That post read like a poem. The use of internal rhyme and syllabic phrasing was exquisite.

I just realized I never tried the CL or JE with Apocalypse yes. I need to get on that...

Also can't wait to try it with the new factions!

EDIT: And after 1 JE Vs. CL battle, I think I'm good. Despite losing Miti and never getting him back, and only getting Makeinda Ru once (and quickly losing her), Shikwa came in with almost nothing but a few random commons, and nearly infinite Chants of Life and Negation. You just can't kill that...

I'm still not sure on this. Can someone answer how it seems to work when they've played?

    No, you can't.
The night's shadow exists, not sleeping at all,
The toil of the light is its only call,
Behind the scenes lurking with shadowy gall,
Its face never showing; height never too tall.

Without a cry wherein dissent finds respite,
The multitudes safer in the billowing light,
More likely than not to strike evil at night,
Then silently vanishing to be out of sight.

I actually haven't tried this out yet. It seems really cool so I hope to give it some play soon. Apocalypse anything is a popular theme nowadays.

I feel like it would be appropriate to play this variant today. Too bad ill be on the road a lot or I would totally give this a try. After all, today might be our last day to play it

I'm surprised this variant even works at all now. There were only 4 factions when I created it, and it's hard to make variants to Summoner Wars that aren't unfair to certain factions.
