    Default Stout, comprehensive list

Aiming for a comprehensive list of abilities/events Heavy Knights are not affected by via Stout. I think this would be a very valuable reference bc this is not an ability that's completely clear to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong KC.

I think it would be more usefull if arranged by faction or even summoner.

Whoa, you're ambitious! Maybe it's me, but unless it's an event, most of these names mean little to me. I'd list the unit(s) that have each ability rather than the ability. Or both.

And like Waterd said, organize by faction/summoner.

Thanks for putting this together! Hopefully KC will come in to finish and clarify what his list is.

Errors/omissions I noticed (I think this is everything):

    Benders
    -TELEKINETIC BLAST missing
    -Wither missing

    Cave Goblins
    -CURSE missing
    -FEED THE EATER missing

    Cloaks
-FATAL SLASH shouldn't be here, see POWER SURGE
-FIRST AID should technically be here, since it cannot be used on an enemy Heavy Knight (though why anyone would want to I don't know)

    Deep Dwarves
    -Magic Strike missing
    -Magic Torrent listed twice

    Filth
-I'd put COWERING FEAR under Filth, not Cave Filth, since the mutant is a Filth card
    -Daddy Doesn't Like You missing
    -EXPLOSIVE missing
-NO RESISTANCE missing (it can't end a Heavy Knight's movement)
-REPELLING STENCH should be listed under Mercenaries, not Filth

    Guild Dwarves
    -Colossus Upgrade missing
-Mortar Upgrade missing (Heavy Knights don't take wounds if an adjacent Unit is destroyed by the Mortar)

    Jungle Elves
    -POISON CLOUD missing

    Mercenaries
    -CLEAN SHOT missing
    -KNOCK AROUND missing

    Mountain Vargath
    -KNOCK AROUND missing

    Phoenix Elves
    -BLAZE DODGE missing
    -BREATH OF FLAME missing
    -BURNING BLADE missing
    -FIRE BLAST missing
    -HELLFIRE missing
    -PURSUE missing
    -RIPOSTE missing
-Wrath of the Volcano listed as "Wrath of the Volcano Flow"

    Sand Goblins
    -SANDSTORM missing

    Shadow Elves
-Consume in Darkness should be listed under Jungle Shadow, not Shadow Elves
    -RETURN SPIRIT missing
    -Revenge missing
    -Vanquish missing

    Swamp Orcs
    -FEAR missing
    -Vine Wall missing

    Tundra Orcs
-POWER SURGE shouldn't be here. It affects the amount of Hits counted on the dice, not the Unit being attacked, similar to RECKLESS
-WILD SWING missing (same wording as HAMMER QUAKE, which we know is blocked)

    Vanguards
-GREATER HEALING and HEALING should technically be here, as a Vanguard player may not heal opposing Heavy Knights

    Cave Filth
    -FEED IT SOULS missing

    Fallen Phoenix
    -CURSED SLASH missing
    -GREATER HELLFIRE missing

    Jungle Shadow
    -Shadow Snare missing

    Sand Cloaks
-MASTER TEACHER, Marek cannot teach abilities to enemy Heavy Knights even if they are considered Sand Cloak Units due to Disguise

    Swamp Mercenaries
    -Vine Wall missing
-VINEMANCER ENTANGLE should be listed under Swamp Orcs, not Swamp Mercenaries

    Vargath Vanguard
-Blinding Light shouldn't be here, as it affects the attack, not the unit itself. You didn't list TOUGH, LUMBERING, SHIELD OF LIGHT, or HOLD THE LINE, which do the same thing
    -Lightning Strike missing

Also, do you want to specify which card effects are only partially negated? Like TRAMPLE, the HK can still be moved through but it doesn't take damage. Or Vanquish, which still blocks the attack it just doesn't bounce the Heavy Knight.

Ok, so ACIDIC VOMIT, WHIRLING BLADE and UNDERCOVER.

I'm not sure about Vomit. The wording is weird, but this doesn't seem to be affecting the attack like PRECISE does . I think I'd rule here that STOUT blocks VOMIT.

How does WHIRLING BLADE affect the Knight? I think Violet can still shoot through him. That affects Violets attack.

UNDERCOVER is interesting. I didn't mean for a Heavy Knight to be able to attack an Undercover Agent. I'll need to think on that one.

    1) OK, what about BURNING BLADE, CURSED SLASH, ELECTROCUTE, and POISONED DAGGERS? Are these all blocked? I don't see a difference between them but you might.

    2) I'd say she can shoot through him (ARCHING SHOT's not on the list) but the attack doesn't affect him (HAMMER QUAKE is on the list).

    3) Had you already thought about the Lukestor/Heavy Knight interaction? If so, go ahead and use the same ruling for UNDERCOVER, since they say the same thing (including the passive wording, both say "may not be attacked").

Personally, I find the interpretations for the interaction od ability-cancelling and card-immunity highly counterintuitive. I would have thought, for example, that a freshly summoned HK after Abua played Negation would not be able to get Stout in order to block Negation, since that would very clearly violate the Negation wording. (Of course, the reverse if HK was on the board - and Stout active - when Negation was played.)

Does a Unit "gain" its ability when it is summoned? I'd say it has its ability the whole time, since cards like Father Benjamin and Amoeba Mutant can use their abilities even when not on the battlefield.

Even if you don't agree that it has STOUT even when in your hand, why would the order of effects be this:
    -HK is summoned
-Chant of Negation begins to affect HK
-HK tries to "gain" its own ability

    Rather than this?
-HK is summoned and immediately has its ability
-Chant of Negation tries to affect HK

Thanks guys, esp Prome and KC. I think I probably just missed those—maybe some were ones I thought weren't included, have to go back and look. Will go through and start making edits throughout the week.

I'll just say that Stout is much more powerful than I originally thought (prior to starting to put this list together). Potentially very good.

Will also start editing names of units in in parentheticals.
