    Default Baltimore Oriole

I wasn't thrilled with painting starlings, so I tried some alternate birds, including this Oriole:

    Thanks for the compliments!
SketchRs: Gold armor will contrast nicely with the blue color of the jay
Here are my remaining birds -- including meadowlark and eastern kingbird paints.
If I get a second set, I will paint the jay as a woodpecker.

Those look nice, I think the blue jay coukd easily be painted as a Mocking Bird as well, love the Woodpecker idea. A good action for a woodpecker would be if it hits a truck, instead of damage, it perches instead.

We have always kept our painted minis as close to matching the official art as possible, but I would love to paint a jay as a cardinal if I get my hands on an additional figure!
