My hunch (and I could be wrong) was that the events were purposely not previewed in order to mitigate piracy of the game (at least initially). I remember seeing pictures of bootlegged versions of Summoner Wars somewhere online. I think there was a Chinese translated version even.

I guess I could do that soon enough. It was easier with the Master Set's previews of whole factions at a time though, as I could prepare the Question/Answers right away without spoiling anything (within the faction at least).

I might wait for a couple of cards to get previewed and then I'll do them.

are the 3 promos on the plaid hat site the only way to get those or are they going to be released as well in a normal pack?

Is there any advantage to picking up an extra copy of any of the sets?

The promos are, to my knowledge, only available through the online PHG store. As of now, there are no plans to release them with any other sets.

Picking up more than one copy of each set is not necessary, as all the deck can fare really well in their standard form. However, if you want to try some deckbuilding, you might want to put, say, 10 of a given type of common in your deck. Since no deck by themselves reach that upper limit in their standard form, you'll need that second pack to fill it up. The champions and events won't be of any use though.

I got 2 copies of each and I usually lend them to friends and people who come at my demo. I can also use them for deckbuilding and I'm pretty happy about that. It's up to you though, and it depends on which type of play you will be an adept of (standard vs deckbuilding).

Will go the route of competative deck building so i guess the ones i would need extra's of would be the mercenaries who can go in any deck

Would be nice to have a commons pack with extras of all the commons to go up to 10 of each if needed
