Thread: The Curse of Sairook

Halvor surveyed the room. As his eyes wandered over the vast assortment of races gathered in the room, a thought of profound inspiration entered his mind.

"What in Garn was a gorilla doing at the Alliance Meeting?"

    Rising, Halvor spoke:
"The name's Halvor. Representative of the Guild Dwarves. That blasted bird, Sairook, has trapped us here. Might as well make the best of it. Anyone have any mead?"

Spotting a jug on a nearby table, Halvor waddled over. He dipped his finger in the liquid and tasted it. He knew that taste, it was the taste of mead!!

"The Gods have indeed found favor with me today!!!

As he was lifting the jug to his lips, someone yelled out:
"Do not drink that!!! It very well may have been poisoned by the treacherous bird."

"All the better!!!!" Halvor cried merrily, drinking the entire jug in a matter of seconds.

Body swaying as he walked to the other side of the room, Halvor began singing an old dwarvish folk song.

""HI-HO, HI-HO, It's off to work we go..."

"Sir Gilliam we all share the goal here. For if we don't Sairook will kill us all! Also my freind Gilliam about your last sentence. Trust no one. Because you seem to be trusting an awful lot of people. Before you know it one of them could be a ZOMBIE."

Gilliam rose in anger at the impudence of the orc and walked over to him. He took of his helmet to reveal a face riddled with scars and got very close to Ragnor. "Are you implying something master orc, maybe you are saying that you are a zombie by this statement. I believe I made myself clear in saying that I didn't trust anyone, but I wish to find those that I truly can trust. At the moment you have made an enemy of me, and that is a very dangerous thing."

'I have said it once and I will say it again Trust No One.' You will never truly find someone you can trust."Ragnor turned his back to Gilliam.
'The Bird said it all, but if you wish not to trust me, I will not stop you.' But if I hear you say the word TRUST again I will add another couple of scars to your face.'

Mook stirred, and sat up slowly. He took some time to watch the chaos unfolding around him. Then grew clearly irritated. His first words were practically spat across the room.

Arguments, drunkards, even wild animals! It's pathetic.

His voice was very loud, difficult to ignore. He was clearly used to addressing many people at once.

This room is less organised than the rabble that call me their champion. I'm not patient, you may have noticed, but I am used to talking to crowds. Since no one else in here seems to have I spine, I volunteer to act as mouthpiece for the visionary.

Scam rose from where he had been sitting, watching the others. Certain that he had everyone's attention, he gave an elaborate bow.

My dear gentleman and ladies, he gave another bow in the direction of Laleya and Makienda, it is a grim situation in which we find ourselves. However, I believe through our incredible intellect, he glanced briefly at Halvor, it should not be too much trouble to discover the fiends among us. Pray let us all put our petty rivalries behind us now, and work together. However, I must say this: I do agree with the good sir, Ragnor, when it comes to trust. It would be wise, I believe to work together, and yet always keep in mind that the person whom you are sitting next too, could very well be... he pauses dramatically, a zombie!" Bowing once again, he turned on his heel, and returned to his seat.

Gilliam walked away from Ragnor still fuming and sat down; grabbing his sword he began to sharpen it. He heard Mook rise from his sleep and begin speeking in a loud voice, but when he said he would act as the mouthpiece to the visionary he rose. What makes you qualified to be the voice piece other than your ability to speak loudest among all of us Mook. You being from the wild, thieving, and uncontrolable goblins raises the concern of whether you can keep your cool. Then almost immediately after through saying this he saw Scam rise from his seat.To agree with that orc filth Scam, I must say I'm astounded. However, I am willing to put SOME of my rivalries behind me, and work to find the zombies. After he was finished speaking Gilliam wandered over to where Walter was resting and lay down to get some rest of his own.

The gorilla watched as others began speaking in the cave. He watched as the Orc called Rukar and the Knight, Gilliam, bickered. He watched as the same knight seemed to bicker with many in the cave.

The gorilla began signing and and screeching to the others after jumping down from the terrace, the bananas were gone at this point so there was nothing left to keep safe up there.

One who "hear" me is...Makeinda understand as well. The gorilla continued signing furiously. Second option visionary, vision me. Plenty here translate now, understood will be. None foolish enough attack me, can protect you.

    Mook smirks at the Vanguard.

I didn't hear you volunteer, Gill. Of course, I'm sure you will now, the risk is quickly shrinking. You seem to forget that under my instructions even wild, uncontrollable goblins can be organised, it's what I do.

Of course, if you feel more comfortable listening to a gorilla, be my guest.

I'm not sure he'll be any kinder on your fragile ears.

Almost as if to prove the point of the Goblin, the gorilla screeches loudly...

AHH, OH OH OHHH AAHHH AH!!
