Sir Gilliam rose from the niche in the wall he had found to sleep in and surveyed the room about him. Once more his eyes caught sight of the disgusting rat Khan and he quickly looked away. The Bender was now standing, but he had little interest in him, being an enemy of the Cloaks and in extension the Vanguards. He saw Sir Walter stand once more and he listened to what he had to say. After Walter was finished he walked over to him and said,"I too am honored to fight along side you, your exploits have not gone unnoticed in our kingdom. I think that we should watch those orcs, while I have no reason to distrust them there is just something about them I don't like.

Laleya had eyed the commotion carefully since the very beginning. While she wasn't intending to be an emissary of peace in this meeting, she found herself strangely with the need to be less hostile than she had originally planned.

Her plan of action, at least for now, was to lay low and see what she could observe. Anything said about any Phoenix Elf was going to be jotted down in her memory, and with how many people were in the room, it was unwise to strike down a Tundra Orc openly, even if they were their clan's mortal enemy.

Revenge is sweet, but terror is sweeter, after all.

A dark, hooded stranger rose to his feet.
Greetings, all, I am Gulldune, master mindbender. Many interesting and confused minds I sense in this keep.

Sir Gilliam caught sight of a new player in the midst. The Phoenix Elf was now awake, and casting a degrading look around the room. While the Vanguards had been at a mutual treaty with the Phoenix Elves he had no reason to trust this particular elf. However, this elf might be instrumental in aiding the group to find the zombies, so he decided to bite his tongue and not make an enemy.

I hope you do not mean myself Bender, I am perfectly clear and unriddled in my mind. Don't hope to fool me with your vile trickery, I will not tolerate it. Don't make an enemy of me, I don't find you to be an enemy at this moment, but that could change in a heart beat.

    Gulldune continued,
Queso, I must concur with Sir Walter. The people of the Bender Empire have never been able to communicate with Vermin. We have no use for plague-spreaders, zombies, rebels, (here he cast a hateful glance at the Cloaks in the cave) ...or birdmen.

Ungh... I have never been a mind reader. It is difficult for me to distinguish one mind from another. Believe me, I meant no insult. But don't you seem to be a bit ...oh, how shall we say it... agressive, sir knight? Be careful with your threats, most people don't take kindly to that kind of behavior.

Walter watched the proceedings from his tent he had erected with an ambivalent face. Not much was there to talk about, stuck in a castle. Not yet. He was glad there were more waking, everyone would be needed to fight the Zombies. But for now, he was bored. He was a man of action, not a great tactical thinker. He wanted to be able to grapple with a beast and release some energy. He looked over at Gilliam and thought maybe he would like to keep his sword skills honed for later. So he stood up, gazing around the chamber making sure nothing was new. He looked around to find Kicker, who he saw trying to converse with the Gorilla like he had ordered him too, because animals have interesting ways to communicate, and once Kicker knew, Walter would know, for he knew how to read his horse's thoughts well. He strode over to Gilliam.

How would you mind a little sword practice my friend. Maybe I can show you a few tricks. Show you what a master can do?

He hoped Gilliam would notice his friendly atmosphere and not take offense. It was all in good fun. Maybe he would learn something himself.

Khan coughed into the air around him and squinted at those who didn't speak his native tongue.

Ahem, for all of you who do not speak in my native Dugallan tongue, this is what I spoke. I said that the Vanguardia was quick to judge me for I am but a Dugallan, not blessed by the Great One as he is. I also insulted him, which I am sorry for, I spoke hastily, as I had been judged hastily.

The Dugallan smiled his nasty smile at the Vanguard, hoping that he could make amends. Then he turned to Gulldune, the likes of which he didn't care if he made amends with. It would be nice to have him as an ally, but it wasn't Essential, yet. He picked his teeth of the fly guts, and flung them in the Bender's direction as he spoke.

Bender, you dare to call me filthy rat!? You are the one who's lucky that we Dugallan never served you, for if we had, we would have made sure that our Plague would have exterminated you before our swords had to be raised to touch you!!! Día de estos buenos para usted!!!

(OOC: Last sentence says: Now Good Day to You!!!)

(OOC: nuestros amigos means our friends.)

He drew his sword, and looked across the ground for any kind of small creature to kill, so he could eat. He was quite hungry and his stomach was rumbling. He knew that he'd have to eat soon, or else he'd suffer from fatigue. He coughed, and some mucas came out of his nose again. He wiped, and continued on his food hunt.
