    The Book of Elephants

Common of the Jungle Elves- Reinforcement 2: Hawk's Strike

    Bio:
Few monsters of Itharia are more impressive than the mighty elephants which roam across the grasslands of Great Bosk. Jungle Elves frequently use these beasts in battle, training them to plow through enemy formations, and wreak havoc among the common soldiers.

    Rulings and Clarifications
Can I end my move on a common unit with one life, kill it and end my move there because it is an unoccupied space now?
No, it must be unoccupied to move to it.

Can I chant of haste my elephant?
No, it has a cost of 3

Heck, these fellows with Miti? WOW! You could potentially kill 6 guys in one turn.

Elephants are awesome, I think that sums up this unit pretty well. These are probably going to be one of my favorite units of all time, a powerful common with three life, I can't wait.

Anyone found a good way to use the trample ability.

Well I used the guys 3 times so far and trampled nothing, setting up to next to a unit without the opponent just moving away seemes harder than it looks, I'm not sure these guys are worth using so far, the lioneers seem better due to the higher attack value for the same three magic they cost.
Yep that avatar is my ugly mug, I think the bleaching did wonders for my pearly whites.

They were good against the MV. THe Mountain Vargath have to use melee against them, and trample really helps weaken all those multi-life goatfolk commons. Just watch out for Brutes.

I've never really been a fan of Trample. It's definitely not a bad ability, but I don't think it deserves the hype it gets.

Making the opponent play around Trample is what Trample generally ends up doing. Summoning an Elephant and then trampling that turn never seems to happen for me. Units are never 2 spaces away from a wall for whatever reason.

A lot of times it just ends up being an auto-wound on a two life common that makes sure it gets killed. The opponent can make it so that you can't attack if you Trample pretty easily, too.

These guys have some trouble staying alive long enough to push toward the Summoner, something Miti can do a bit better because of his high life.

I've got 1 Elephant in my JE deck. I summon it when opportunity is ripe for his 3 life. Generally he does alright, but most of the time I'd prefer a Gorilla.
