I loved using Vomitus during playtesting. Maybe it's a matter of perspective. At first Vomitus rolled for his range at the moment of attack, which could be very frustrating. So I loved the change to the start of the Attack Phase. I certainly understand how much better it would be if it were before the Movement Phase, but as it is, I found him very useful. Just have multiple attack plans in case he cannot reach as far as you'd like. Given his range, it's more flexible to plan around Vom's occasional lapses than Abom's, IMO.

How did that work? Vomitus targets Elien 3 spaces away, but rolled a 2. So he loses the attack?

Those were questions we asked too. The resolution to those questions was to change his ability to what we have now.

How is that? with Abom you at least get a crappy attack, here it can totally whiff the complete attack.
I guess it's a similar take as Abom then, more than the actual strength of it, it's the threat of it.

The thing about Vomitus though is if you miss the roll, he's probably out of harms way. Abom isn't. That being said, I still don't care for him in my deckbuild.

Murk though I love. It's very easy to bump his attack up to 3, making he and Glarg the cheapest 3AVs with range around, and you can play them together! I'm very partial to Glarg, Murk and either Glurp or Splub.

I need to update this signature. While I do that, go listen to A Doug's Guide to Summoner Wars - the podcast!

You have a point about Abom. What I meant was that sometimes I can align Vom to have 2 targets, and he can usually do at least 1 of them; and I'd try to have other useful things to do if he couldn't. In addition to KC's point about being out of harm's way.

The random usefulness of Vom and Abom is similar to many TO units, and naturally they appeal to some folks and not to others.

2 targets? that sounds that he could flanked if something goes bad.
Ah well, it's nice to have some more range in the deck even if it's unreliable (without resorting to Mercenaries), definitely useful in several match ups.

Given his range, I think that the perfect name for Vom's ability would be Projectile Vomit. Not to deny that it's also Horrific, of course.

I'll be honest, I'm just wondering if/when a new promo card will be announced.

Also, I really want to know about Her.

I would also like to see her. Vomitus might show is ugly face in my deck, but i may just replace the champs altogether with the mutations that i like. anyone got some good ideas for good filth number builds? (the number of champs, commons, and mutations in a deck.)
    I shall mutate you.
