    Default KC's Faction Decks with Reinforcements

    Here are my faction decks I've built and toyed with. Since my first post was getting too long, I've cut out some of them and just started linking them to their post in this thread. Each deck includes the Total Magic Cost, which is simply the total summon cost of all Units in the Draw Pile added together, plus any required Magic cost for Event cards. The colored text is a link to the deck.

    Format is:

    I like the FK and GD decks.

    Defenders are definitely good and Reapers not so much. Mal is a great choice for the FK.

    The thing about GD is that wall destruction isn't a deck, it's a state of mind.* I destroyed lots of walls at GenCon with no Engineers beyond the first one. I did it with the CG too.

    *Okay, I lied. I don't destroy walls very often with the PE.

    There has to be a deck in there somewhere though that focuses on destroying their walls quickly, or surrounding them with Guardsmen so that they can't summon. Between Engineers, Ballistas and Beseige, and Guardsmen being so darn tough, there has to be a way to do this effectively. Like I said though - I don't think I'm the guy to try it. Apparently I suck with Dwarves, and they're supposed to be awesome.

    I might even go 10 Skeleton / 7 Zombie in the FK deck. I just love the Skeletal Archer - he denies magic to your opponent, he has range, and you can use them to fuel Dark Sacrifice which might even get your magic back, or summon them and then sac them for Elut Bal, which basically reduces his summon cost by 1 for each one you summon. All that and you can Raise them when you need to.

    Lastly - if you like the Dwarf and FK decks, does that mean the other 4 suck? What would you do differently and why? I'm an SW noob, so I want to learn!

    Mostly just stylistic differences with commons choices.

    you still have to roll Magic Lock with Dark Sacrifice, right?

    Good call - I missed that. Doesn't make it quite as appealing, but it's still nice.

    I definitely like your changes, especially the orcs. The orcs are currently my favorite faction and I am undefeated with them, however, I personally would keep skhull instead of Magos. I do not see a need to rush commons to the discard pile, they are still useful if you summon them normally, especially because they might get better board position and more attacks if you summon them next to a wall.

    All and all, great food for thought.

    As for Fallen Kingdom. I agree with Goblin King.

    Skhull is better than Magos.

    To add my own two cents, I also think Mal is too much damage to heal via DS. I would probably try Sairook for the same thematic play.

    Have any of you rolled with Mal in a FK deck? She's honestly fantastic. Where Magos helps is more that he lets you time your event cards better so you don't waste a Dark Sacrifice here or a Legions of the Dead there. And he's ranged. Now, whether you put him or Skhull in is less a right/wrong choice and more a matter of preference. However, Mal is my current top choice "FK" champion.
