Tundra Smasher wounds question

We understand that Smasher suffers the number of dice that would have been rolled as wounds but does he still take all extra wounds from an enemies special abilities? (eg Maelena's burning blade confers an extra wound.)

Yes. Maelena's ability says to add an extra wound to what is rolled. The Smashers take all possible wounds from any attack.
