Bio: An infernal being summoned by Ret-Talus, and kept bound in cursed chains of iron, Elut-Bal was once strong and intelligent. But centuries of torture and starvation have left this demon little more than a slavering weapon for Ret-Talus to casually toss at his foes. Elut-Bal can only derive sustenance from the flesh of the living, and when he is let loose upon a battlefield he is far too starved to consider an escape.

I was wondering what happens to the magic under a Reaper if you choose to discard him to reduce Elut Bal's summon cost?

1. All is lost during the discard? or
2. You only loose the Reaper to discard and the magic perked under him goes to magic pile?

All the cards under the reaper go to your discard pile, not you're magic pile.

I was wondering if it was possible to force summon Elut-Bal. If you would discard magic towards him during him during your summoning phase, then play the forced summoning event card it would work, but I have the impression that you cant put magic in "reserve" towards a unit. The other option I'm wondering about would be to use his Summoned by Blood special ability then play the forced summon during the event phase. Would any of these option work to summon him?

Summoned by Blood does not mention the Summon Phase. If you play Forced Summon, you are summoning Elut-Bal, so you can use Summoned by Blood. You can play forced summon, select Elut-Bal, and discard a unit to deal with the other 2 magic cost.
