Question about Legions of the Dead event card

My brother and I have been arguing about this Fallen Kingdom card, in regards to whether or not you can resurrect the cards you just previously used as the three magic cards in this event.

So if I use three magic for the Legions of the Dead event, and one of the three cards is a reaper, can I summon it back to the board as a part of this event? Since the magic does go to the discard pile, and the event card says to use cards in the discard pile...

Seems a bit earlier for such arguments since we don't even have the cards in had yet...but how about a link to the card text in question.
