I think truth's done a good job of releasing just enough information to keep it fresh, but not so much as to make the ideas stale before they come out. Sometimes it's nice to have a little surprise.
We could take a page out of Heroscapers.com's book and just begin rampant speculation...
My guess is that the Undead can revive their fallen Units by somehow summoning from the discard piles. I'll give a cheap, shameless plug to my Marro customs in the Customs Forum that have that built in as a mechanic for them.
I'm not sure what the Vanguards are going to do, but I'll guess they center around taking less damage when attacked.

Most of my speculation has been about the contents of the expansion packs, such as if they'll have the alluded to second Summoners for the factions or not, which would mean there would be new Event cards for that Summoner and then maybe a common (with duplicates) and maybe a Champion for each faction and a Mercenary Champion or two. There are a surprisingly large number of possibilities. Our group is quite excited about the idea of more Summoners and another common or two, because of how that will radically create new deck possibilities.
Again, I like the art, but it's rules that really make my head work, and I've always had a preference for Undead in any fantasy battle game.
Perhaps from the Magic pile as a mechanic? Discard pile seems problematic unless limited to an Event card mechanic, and Magic pile might allow you to reanimate enemy cards, which could be a hoot.
