    Default Rogue Mercs

So far we have fifteen merc champions. If I was to group them into thematic groups I'd have non-aligned humans (all humans except Rygos), animal men (except Hulgorad), and members of major factions that have gone rogue (Saella, Rygos, and Hulgorad). The last group is the newest, and like all mercs they are very thematic. All three of them definitely draw inspiration off of their mother factions and I wouldn't be surprised if their designs were originally meant for their origin faction. Now I find this group very interesting in that helps give everybody a little bit of something another faction has. If the trend for rogue mercs was to continue, which factions would you like to see represented? A Guild Dwarf-esque heavy champ? A speedy Shadow Elf? A cost-efficient goblin?

I would think that the DR characters could come out this way. A while back, Colby mentioned that he had thought about putting their cards in as promos in DR, but thought better of it.

A healing champ from VG could be cool, yet hard to balance, as would a FK champ that could auto-kill your units for a bonus.

Looking at the contents of Saella's Precision, I'd guess there's another unrevealed Rogue champ there.

I would guess the same thing actually. Duggle seems dwarfish to me. Urick does too actually, or maybe human. If Urick was human it'd be cool to see a rogue vanguard knight, like the dr traitor knight. Although I'd really like to see a traitor knight type in the FK so nix that lol

A sand goblin merc! The sand goblins stealthiness and survival skills would be open to any faction. oh and btw, i believe anica and dragos are already rogues. They turned against VG, too ret, who happily turned them into undead horrors. I believe ret has a policy of no living minions, so he turns any living minions into undead.

They're human but i don't think their Vanguard. Anica is from Galnon, which is described as being its own city state. Dragos' origin is simply stated as being some noble family, but I'd figure if he was a former Vanguard his bio would of stated it.

It seems that a lot of Mercs are the spiritual members of existing factions, even if they don't resemble them physically. For example, Sairook could have been a Shadow Elf, and Apprentice Mages could have been Deep Dwarves. Filth and Fallen Kingdom won't be getting Rogues, and I would guess that Swamp Orcs won't either. I'd like to see a Jungle Elf Merc: some sort of beast tamer like Holleas who can summon animals. He could come with extra cards that work like vine walls and act as weak commons (monkeys? boars? wolves? anything's possible).

I think the Filth and Fallen kingdom could get rogues. Imagine some mutated captive who escaped or an undead minion who somehow found freedom from Ret-Talus' grasp. I would love to see a JE beast tamer too but that might be more something we'd see in the JE second summoner
