Eh I dont find 15 min that hard, then again I am in game waiting for my turn to come up and generally have my moves planned by the end of my opponents turn. Most of my games end in 10 min used by each player or at least by me.

Okay-editing post because I felt like an idiot. I'm leaving the context but removing the opponent name. This other game against the GD was truly painful and was what was on my mind, when I confused it for my game with Royal7.

Hi. HannibalUltor here. Long time lurker, first time poster. I did indeed play a 30 min. game with Royals7. Please see my lower post about that.

In a different game against another user, I had this situation. At the end of one of my turns, my thief was in position to steal. I destroyed the thief and waited for My opponent to hand over a card from his hand. I proceeded to wait nearly the entirety of the 18 min. left on my clock, during which time My opponent was logged out. Shortly before time expired, My opponent logged back in to the game and finished the turn, handing over the card. He started on his turn, but forfeited in the event phase (I'm not sure if this was user initiated or if the clock was actually ticking on him during the steal resolution of my phase). I play a long game with the Cloaks and also the Vanguards, who have tremendous staying power with Sera behind her champions. Regardless, I play to win and aim to do so within 15 minutes, the 30 minutes is a slight buffer for really tight games I don't want decided by a time forced-loss. I expect my opponents in 15 min. and 30 min. games to treat them with the attention required to reasonably complete them within that time frame.

I purposely do not take anything shorter than 3 days because I work nights (3-11 pm) so I know I can't do short games. I may do it on Friday but there are a few good reasons why I won't besides the fact I don't have time usually. Oh, and I wanna have a forfeit free record. If I lose, I lose.

I would also like to contest Royal7's characterization of the game, as I stole Thorkur from him, discarded Baldar with Spy and had plenty of magic and time to summon what units I needed before my two remaining walls would have been destroyed. I'm sure Royal7 will come to realize as he learns the game that some factions have to play a longer game to have a good chance at winning. The Cloaks do not simply march up to Oldin and start pounding away, they have to do a lot of "dancing" around. I also play a long game with the Vanguards, who have tremendous staying power with Sera behind her champions. I'm not sure if this was just a massive miscommunication or a mean-spirited player, but certainly sad that this has to be my first post here.
I'm not sure if there's a way to edit my earlier post, but I think I may have mistaken Royal7 for another one of my opponents tonight. So, to him/her if the context of my post makes no sense, then I am truly sorry. I did play one game as Cloaks against the goblins where I was certainly in a tough spot, though not an indefensible one. I did use a massive time difference to my advantage. My opponent had 5! Active games and ducked in and out of ours (that's what yellow light means, right?) after each turn. As I said, when I play a game, I give it my full attention. My final few turns were devoted to getting Vlox out of trouble-summoning a thief and using raid to get out of range and then a gunner's ability the next turn to completely escape. What would you have me do-turn and face Sneeks at melee and risk certain death? I am sorry the game couldn't be run to it's normal ending, but that is a risk with the chess clock timer and multiple simultaneous games. I will not apologize for trying to play the game to the best of my ability when I still think I have a chance. Again, very sorry for the confusion and, admittedly, rudeness, and I hope you continue to play the game.

Wow, People can't play 4 or 5 30 miute games at a time. I do 2 30 miute games at a time, and also i did 3 at one point by mistake (i join lots of games, then just withdraw from the rest once i have 2, i accidentally got 3.), but i pay very close attention to my games. I switch during my opponents turn, and lord knows that takes twice as long as my own turn. Already, 2 of my wins came from people who, halfway in the game, didn't do anything for 15 min. and forfeit.
    I shall mutate you.

    Not just that, but the term "5!" means 5 factorial, which is actually 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1, or 120 different games! lol

And yes, there is an Edit Post button next to the Reply and Reply with Quote buttons beneath your post.

I don't know how many of Royal7s games were 30 min, or how many he/she was playing at the time. I do know that for 3 or 4 minutes after every turn Royal7 was not in our game. It just sat waiting for summoning to happen or not. That's a lot of time for me to plan my next move. And yes, I do dance with Vlox. Vlox is the consummate dancer. I had prospects in the game and wasn't about to give up on them because my opponent was not a good time manager. All of my prospects involved as first order of business moving Vlox away from enemy attacks. Like it or not, the timer is a loss condition, and if it's too short for you, play longer games. Absent any way to specifically state I want quick playing games, the only way I can imply that is by creating 15 and 30 min. Games. I hope the number of forfeits I've been seeing dies down when people become more accustomed to the flow of the game.
