I just played a 30 minutes game against HannibalUltor and it prompted me to register and write this post. He was playing Vlox and I had him the whole game, I destroyed his walls and had a huge advantage. He then proceeded to dance around the board as the timer ran out so I couldn't attack him and he ended his turn with only a few seconds left to go. Due to this the timer ran out during my turn and I lost the game.

Is this a valid strategy? I have never played this game before but I find it hard to believe that this is a legitimate strategy in regular board play.

I think that 30 minute games should be removed due to this exploit.

You know that you do not have to agree to play 30 minute games and you do not have to play this particular poohead again if you don't want to.

I definitely won't. But many others probably will and might fall into the same trap.

I thought the iOS game used a chess-clock-like format, so in a 30-minute game, each person would have 15 minutes, and one person could not cut into another person's time. I'm disappointed that there is a flat 30 minute hard cap, because this does seem to very much lend itself to this manner of "pooheadedness."

The timer is a chess clock and only runs during your turn. If it is set for 30 minutes, that is 30 minutes for you and 30 for your opponent.

Thus, I only join in games that are 7 days or more. Some of us have 10+ games going at once and are doing incredible multitasks such as working while SWarrinig...

Oh. So the OP is saying HannibalUltor just ran around until Royals7's clock ran out? Because it sounded like he took a while on his turn until there were only a few seconds left in the game and then handed it over to Royals.

Sounds like the Vlox player was taking his turn fast so the TC would take more time because they had more to do. Ya it sucks but they better not remove 15 and 30 min games. Against friends I'm fine with 1 month games, but against random people I will only play a full game in one sitting using the shorter times.

They have a 15min per player option? I can't imagine having to do everything that fast...

I played one 15 minute game and it was probably the most stressful game of Summoner Wars I have ever played. You don't play against your opponent, you play against your clock. I knew I had won not when I killed his summoner but when used more than a minute to take his turn.
