Trouble with Avatars

Before I begin, I did indeed use the search function beforehand.

I am having trouble giving my profile an avatar. I tried a few images that were too big, then noticed the size restriction. i found quite a few images that were 80 x 80 pixels and well under 16.7KB, but they all come up as "Invalid File" or "Failed to write Temporary File". I have tried numerous images with no luck. Any suggestions?

Might be the format? Sometimes, inly JPEG work, while some other times, GIF, PNG and some other formats also work.

Try downloading the picture and then setting it as your avatar. Whenever I got the "Invalid file" message this worked for me.
