The night's shadow exists, not sleeping at all,
The toil of the light is its only call,
Behind the scenes lurking with shadowy gall,
Its face never showing; height never too tall.
another couple of possible achievement bugs with the cloaks:
I've tried twice now to get the double steal achievement, and upon getting both thieves to the other side of the battlefield, the game irrecoverably crashed on the first steal action...very annoying.
Also, how does the achievement work for Vlox copying? I've copied 5 different Cloak abilities in one game but didn;'t get the achievement. Are you supposed to copy and USE 5 abilities in a single game, or just copy?
If anyone has done these I would be grateful to hear how you did it!
If these bugs are real, then thats 4 achievements so far that are impossible to get, and considering they are the closest thing to a single player challenge right now, its pretty annoying :/

Latest Customs - KC's Customs
I need to update this signature. While I do that, go listen to A Doug's Guide to Summoner Wars - the podcast!
I can almost for sure confirm that it's not just copying the abilities, but actually using them. This would mean:
Gunner - Using Greater Sneak
Thief - Stealing a Card
Scrapper - Being placed as a Result of Blindside AND placing another Unit via Blindside (confirming this one)
Sniper - Attacking from more than 3 squares away.
Scrapper - Rolling a 6 on Vlox's attack.
Sin-Sin - Using Charm
The Admiral - Using Cover
Violet - Attacking more than one Unit.
Scam - Using Escape
Dagger - Using Backstab.

Just a weird annoying graphics bug. When Dagger Backstabs it graphically shows the attack values of all the cards in play as boosted by 3 while he does it. No game effect, just looks really odd.
Hi some issues i noticed with the game. Some have already been mentioned, but i just wanted to post a complete list of what i found.
Bugs
- Two thieves in opponents backrow: As soon as the first thieve is placed after stealing the game crashes. I tried this with having Vlox copied a thief and 2 actual thieves. Both time the game crashed and the saved game won't load.
- Jack of all Trades Achievement: Either the text is wrong or this isn't working. I had Vlox copy 8 abilities in a game (Thief, Scrapper, Gunner, Sniper, Slasher, Scam, Sin-Sin and Hawk) but didn't get the achievement. If it is bound to copying AND actually using them, the text should be clarified.
- Runes and Shields Achievement: Doesn't work. I had 27 Damage prevented in a single game, but didn't get the achievement (2 Guardsmen prevented 4 Damage, though i admit they both died while preventing one, so maybe that doesn't count. Baldar prevented 4 Damage. Thorkur prevented 3 using Mana, but died preventing the third. 4 Commons adjacent to Tordor prevented the rest though at some point they died. Even if the damage prevented, when they die anyway i prevented way more than only 10 damage, but didn't get the achievement).
- When it counts Achievement: Not sure how this works, i tried once by using phoenix elves and only dealing auto-damage to the enemy summoner, but it didn't trigger. Maybe some clarification is needed ? In addition this is extremely luck based, as is the Wild Man Achievement.
- Not really a bug, and maybe wrong all together, but the AI seems to have rather lucky rolls. I had to try really hard to get the Wild Man Achievement, but the AI rages on and on at least once in nearly every game i play vs Tundra Orcs. My impression is that the AI has more lucky roles to make up for it's mistakes. But again that's only an impression, i don't have any evidence.
- Also sometimes i get the impression that the AI knows what rolls are coming. I guess this is just coincidential, but i occasionally it choose to hit a wall first (one roll missed) then on rage triggering Ragnor killed a two life common with his second attack.
AI Issues
(Some of these may be just my opinion about the tactical choices the AI makes, but some are just plain wrong)
General
- The AI doesn't seem to plan the whole turn just the current phase, so it makes very bad choices. By this i mean it often summons a common while in the event phase playing reinforcements and then summon ONE other common. The Cave Goblins sometimes play Goblin Rage, but then only attack with Champions and Berserkers.
- The AI considers walls high priority. I don't know why. At some points it's a good decision to attack walls, but the AI does that too often and even lets a clean shot on a summoner go, but instead attacks a wall. (In one case Ragnor didn't move adjacent to my summoner while he could have. Instead he attacked the wall, rage, moved one step back, attacked another wall, rage, moved one step back, attack a common, rage, move forward, attack wall, rage, move forward, attack wall... by the number of triggered rages he could easily have beaten my summoner bloody).
- The AI seems to play event cards the moment it gets them. Not 100% sure about this, but it seems like it. Sometimes it would be a good idea to keep event cards for later use.
- The AI seems to play very champion focused. It discards a lot of commons to build magic quickly. This is a valid tactical choice, but it would be nice, if the AI would make up some "gameplan" at the beginning and choosing one of several possible tactics (going for champions, trying to assassinate the enemy summoner, going defensive with lots of commons... something like that, maybe even changing the gameplan if it doesn't work out)
- The wall placement of the AI doesn't seem to be very good. It will often place a wall right behind a wall already on the field or in the backrow. This may be a valid choice for some tactics, but in general i think it would be more effective if the walls were spread out.
- The AI isn't very focused on killing the enemy summoner. I observed several cases where it choose to attack the summoner with one unit but had others, that could also have attacked the summoner, hit walls or units. This maybe a valid choice in some situations, but concentrating the fire on the summoner could have won the game for the AI.
Phoenix Elves
- Prince Elien quite often uses Fire Blast on his own wall on the first turn. At some point that does make sense, but i think on the first turn it's a bad decision.
- Prince Elien plays very aggressively. Considering his 4 HP that's not exactly a wise choice, especially as he doesn't keep away from my walls, but instead stands right by them and waits for me to summon units that kill him.
- Prince Elien sometimes chooses to use his normal attack, while a Fire Blast would kill the unit he is attacking (and yes, he was close enough to use Fire Blast, and he missed two or more dice allowing the common to kill him).
- The AI never attacks a unit it has take control of, even if no other targets are around. It's fairly easy to just place a unit next to Kaeseeall and have it controlled and on your turn just go back and hit her till she is dead.
- Prince Elien was under the effect of the Chant of Negation and none the less played Spirit of the Phoenix on himself. Noticing it had no effect he did it AGAIN.
Cave Goblins
- Mentioned already above, quite often Sneeks plays event cards, that are not used or he plays Goblin Horde Attack to beat up walls even if the other two wall are already on the field.
- I've seen the AI pump Blarf, even though he had only 1 life left and for not much gain (except increasing the odds of killing a common).
None the less it's a great game (as is the boardgame), thanks for making it !
Another question about personal stats: For some reason, the game is not keeping up with the number of games and various factions I have played. I know it was mentioned earlier in the thread; does anyone else continue to have this problem?
