Thread: Legal Movement Question

  1. #1

    Default Legal Movement Question

I've seen in the FAQ that a legal move can be 0 squares to trigger movement effects.

The rulebook shows diagrams of moving 2 squares straight or 1 up and then 1 over.

Is there anything that prevents moving up a square, then back to your unit's original position? This has come up recently for purposes of Trample with the various Jungle Elves units. I'm assuming this works, but I would very much love clarification.

    Thank you in advance!

It can be done. Trample can work with moving onto a Unit, then back to your original space.

The night's shadow exists, not sleeping at all,
The toil of the light is its only call,
Behind the scenes lurking with shadowy gall,
Its face never showing; height never too tall.

I agree with thenightshadow. This is also very important with the Swamp Orcs' "Vinemancer ambush" ability.

If this Unit moves onto or off of 1 or more Vine Wall spaces during this turn, add 1 to its Attack Value until the end of this turn. This Unit does not have to roll to move off of a Vine Wall.
