Is playing with heavy commons a viable strategy?
I've known about Summoner Wars for years, but have played very little until lately. I have been playing Shadow Elves, Sand Goblins, Cloaks, and Vargath mainly. It seems like the heroes for most of these factions are kinda "meh." With the most notable faction being Sand Goblins. I have never found myself ever wanting to play their champions due to their wonky "abilities."
I find that being able to have more units on the board is worth more than the extra dice or the special ability of one character. Yes, in a clutch they can roflstomp a near infinite amount of units(Krung and thorkur come to mind.)
Maybe its my strategy? Typically I toss most of my hand if I can't summon it on my turn. I keep most event cards and champions if they have a useful effect within the next few turns.
I'd consider myself a n00b, so please enlighten me as I would love to improve my game and hopefully playtest at some point.
