View Full Version : What to do with extras
So I bought 2 of the PEvsTO and 3 of the GDvsCG so I could have 10 of each common card. You've got to be prepared right?
I now have extras of all the summoners, champions, events, walls, and varying numbers of each common. I'm thinking of selling or trading them, but not if they'll be useful later. I think the commons are the only desirable cards on the list anyway.
Should I hang on to all the cards I bought or will I want to have multiple decks for each faction and/or summoner later on? I usually provide cards for other people to play with when I have company over too.
I also have extra rulebooks, dice, wound markers, and maps. I figure this will just pile up like extra OMs in HS. I am glad to have extra maps though, the first thing I did after opening my first box was set a map in a puddle of water. The rulebooks will be good for friends who don't have the game but play it at my house.
I'm also working on a unopened shelf of Heroscape ala Markwars. My shelf will have a Summoner Wars section on it too. It's not complete yet, but I'll post pics when my Housemouse order comes in, I want to fill a few bare spots first.

You'll be able to use them in 4-player games if your buddies are borrowing from your stock.

Later when common mercenaries come out, you might want to create additional decks that use a lot of mercs.

I think its been mentioned a few times, that Mercenary's will eventually have enough to field their own entire faction. I could be mistaken though.

I think I read in the rules that you can only have 5 mercs in a deck.

6 mercs in a deck. But there will be plenty of mercs to choose from, both common and champion.

Close; there is a maximum of 6 allowed by the rules.
