The Book of Sprog
Champion of the Deep Dwarves - Master Set
http://www.summonerwars.com/DD_Sprog.jpg
Bio: If things had gone differently, Sprog would have made a magnificent Summoner. His mastery of Geomancy allows him to break down walls, and rebuild them a short distance away. In a longstanding war hinging on maneuverability, his is a priceless skill.
Rulings and Clarifications
Q: Can I place an opponent's Wall on my side of the battlefield?
A: Yes. You can't place your own Walls on the opponent's side, but the opposite is correct.

With Sprog around, wall destruction will prove to be more challenging as he can simply reposition the wall elsewhere. ;);)

I wonder who will want to reposition the opponent's Walls at your side of the battlefield. This may allow the opponent to summon units on our side of the battlefield which may pose a risk to our summoner (unless there are ready units on your side to whack the wall down).
I think another situation where this can be useful is when Sprog is adjacent to TO's Ice Wall. He can get the wall out of the way and into position where there are many other friend units to destroy it. The Ice Wall can be annoying when Grognack activate his ability.

I like this guy the most of the DD champs. His ability would be better if you could moves walls before you summon, but the ability to change the wall positions is a game changer IMO. A whole lotta this game relies upon board positioning, and the DD are very fluid in their use of positioning.

The Deep Dwarves' opponent is going to have to be offensive-minded if Sprog decides to start taking down walls. I guess I'll have to see it in action to really tell but it sure seems like it will be awfully powerful for Sprog to place an opponent's wall in the corner where that wall is flanked by Sprog and either another Deep Dwarf or DD wall. Once "restructured", unstoppable wall destruction would ensue unless an enemy rescue party could lift the siege.
This is the faction I'm looking forward to the most.

I took one look at this guy and the first thought that went through my mind was: OH FUN. You can really through your opponents off balance with him. I think he'll allow for some really interesting mid-game strategy changes too. Did I place a wall defensively, but now need to be offensive? No problem.

Anybody had great success with this guy yet? So far he's been a little so-so for me. Anybody have practical uses for his ability that are consistently worthwhile?

You know, looking at his ability, I realize I how difficult it would be to use him offensively in terms of wall destruction.
My gut tells me he's better off fighting defensively.

Er.... no amount of words can describe how bad of an idea this is. But being brief, why would you WANT to let Grognack use his ability?

If I could surround the wall quickly and get off a Scholar combo on it (or if I were using Sprog in a freebuild deck with like the CG or MV, someone who could surround a deck) I'd love to move a wall into position to block off all of its summoning spots, IF I could destroy it quickly.
That said, Sprog is probably the least helpful champs for the DD right now. He's neat, but just doesn't synergize as well (unless you need to move a wall to save Tundle.)

I was mainly referring to the ice wall for that one. it just seems like all it would do is open up the best offensive result for Grognack's next turn.

my strat would be to use it as a means to blocking summoning spots. Say you ahve your walls _ - _ and you place the enemy wall in the gap below the middle one, you could then just sit a unit on the South corner and bam, useless wall. You could just sit your summoner on it. Obviously wouldnt work against Grognack as he'd take a 5+ your summoner till the cows come home but you've made an enemy wall useless instead of having to put 9 attacks on it.

He's been so-so in my games too. His main advantage is his range, decent life, and potentially a good defensive ability. I've saved Tundle a couple of times by moving my own walls in a corner to protect a wounded Tundle.
Offensively, he's more difficult to use. If you're having a good momentum (somewhat rare for the DD), you could throw a wall away from your offensive. Might make a slight difference.

Sprog's 2-6-6 ranged build is of more use than his ability, usually. He's a good choice for your last DD Champ who you play late as a closer, just because of his robust statistics.

Also I want to add Sprog is such a great early champion! If you manage to draw him early and commit to build on him, he can toss aside enemy walls into the corner and gain a huge early game advantage... Tossing PE's starting wall into your side is actually pretty risky but hurt them so so much if they cannot manage to draw their second wall.

Pushing an opponent's wall back to their own back corner early game sounds like so much fun!

I've found it to not only be hard but screws you later in the game because you're so low on magic for Gem Mages. Yeah, Tundle can help. If you're willing to give up those attacks you need to protect him.
I prefer Kynder and Lun. Both are powerful and have great abilities and stats for their cost.

I like Mage Pusher better too, but Sprog has his uses fer sher. Pushing an opponent's wall to the back row is his number 1 play that I've found so far.

I am sure everyone will prefer Kyder/Lun over Sprog, but as far as early champion goes and I mean early, the power of Sprog screwing up their starting wall should not be dismiss, did that one game and I believe the game went downhill for my opponent from just that one move, he never recover in time

When Sprog uses restructure on a Vine Wall, he still cannot place it under units, right?

He indeed can't, since even though the Vine Walls would permit it, Sprog specifically asks for the Restructured Wall to be placed on an empty space.
