A tale of teamwork and betrayal
The mole ogre howled out as it collapsed into a bloody pile of rent flesh and broken bone. The aging knight bent over, panting heavily, and gave his dwarven peer an approving nod. It had taken great effort between them both to slay the beast, and they had each taken their share of wounds. But in the end their cooperation had paid off and they both knew it. And then their eyes found the treasure chest sitting in the corner of the room.
They looked at each other. They looked back at the treasure… and then the real fight began.
The game where YOU are the final boss!
Dungeon Run is an exciting dash through a dungeon packed with monsters and traps. Each player controls a unique hero capable of great feats, and whose powers and abilities are upgradable and customizable throughout the game. Players can work together to overcome the perils of the dungeon, or they can betray and sabotage each other as they see fit. Because in the final room of the dungeon lurks a powerful boss with the ultimate treasure – a treasure that turns its owner into the most powerful warrior they can become! Slay the boss, steal the treasure, and then run for your life as your friends try to cut you down. In Dungeon Run only one hero can escape with the fabled Summoning Stone. Don’t walk – run!
A new game each time you play
Dungeon Run features a randomly assembled dungeon that changes each time you play, as do the monsters you face and the treasures you find. Eight different heroes each with unique options for customization further add to a wealth of game play options. Choose the vicious Tundra Orc and bash your way through everything that stands in your path. Play as the cunning Grounder Wizard and use your magic to cheat the laws of nature. Select the Guild Dwarf adventurer and lay traps to ensnare your friends. There are many paths to victory in Dungeon Run. Win by working with your friends or against them – just win!

It's been remodeled to tie into the world of Itharia.
So yes.

I think this is the first time we've been able to see the relative sizes of the different races of Itharia.
From L to R I see:
Grounder Wizard, Phoenix Elf Archer, Goblin Rogue, Tundra Orc Fighter, Undead Wizard, Human (Vanguard?) Fighter (Paladin?), Vargath Magic User, Dwarf Fighter (Rogue?)
I guess we'll have to wait for an expansion to get Jungle Elves ;-)

Why are the minis unpainted:(. ah well no need for extra cost if everyone else is happy. I already have some dungeon crawl games .... but this is no dungeon crawl. I hope you continue to use the slogan, I found it funny.
Any way cool to see PHG is doing some other products than just Summoner Wars (though it is a super good product).
Hope It all goes well and I may even purchase a copy or 2, after I have accumulated my fill of SW.

I wish the Vargath had a giant axe or something instead of magic but oh well :P
My only other complaints is that the tundra orc and elf look a little weird or maybe its just me.

@yoyomansizzle: agreed, its not just you it's me as well... but hey they still look Kool!
A question any idea of how much Dugeon Run will sell for.
question 2, what sort of sized box does it come in so I can aprox the shipping.
I know it's still early days yet but I like to know the details ahead of time.

I love that it ties into Summoner Wars. However, I don't know if I'll be getting it. My wife doesn't like the sound of it and I don't really have anyone else in the area that enjoys playing board games that much...its sad really.

Is the Mole-Rat the same thing as the Eater? Also, will more character of one race be released eventually?

Yes, the Mole Ogre is the same thing as the Eater.
And your next question... is a really good one. ;)

It would have to retail for like a hundred bucks. We've got a very nice enemy variety going on. And we did that because they are cards. It works really well too.

2) will we get a grounder wizard or trapper faction/merc?

Question here, is the "Time to play: 90-120 minutes" including the set up time, if there even any involved? As 2 hours game play is already little bit too long for my taste (I know there is people that dont mind)
One of the strongest reason why I play SW is for the quick play time of around 20-30min each game with almost zero set up time... my friend tried to get me into Heroscape and the setup time turns me off right a way, I didnt even bother learning :o

The setup time isn't really any longer than it is for Summoner Wars. So it doesn't really factor into the estimated length either way.

Thanks for the quick answer Truth
I will keep my eyes open for this game, I just really hates set up time. Meanwhile SW will do my fix for now, as it is all I can think about for the last month or so

looks like something I might buy when it comes out. my gaming group has a shortage of games (only Summoner Wars, Settlers of Catan and Munchkin(which is a bleh game))
we need more games that work well with three players, because summoner wars, in my opinion, doesn't work that well.
anyway, I'll wait for the reviews, but it looks nice so far.:)

If you like Munchkin, Munchkin Quest(the board game) is a little more interesting.

For a munchkin replacement, I highly suggest Cutthroat Caverns. As soon as I got that, I got rid of my copy of Munchkin.
I LIKE TAU!

I haven't heard of Munchkin Quest. I may have to try that after I go through a faze of all-out SW gaming.:D

Wow, thank you! That looks awesome. Oh and this:
CD: Yeah, I am feeling great to see the first reactions to something we’ve been working on for awhile. Next up is more full-sized games. We’ve got a full-scale adventure game that is nearing completion. I hope to release around November. And we’ve got a Sci-Fi game that we’ve only just begun work on but is already shaping up to be a real winner.
ANOTHER game already? Wow, that sounds so cool. I'm glad to see Plaid Hat is having success, I think that's really cool. The customer support and everything is cool, and I love the fact that truth is around and loves the board game community, and comments on things around here. It's just so cool overall.

It says this game is 1-4 players, I am wondering how you can play a game like this solo? Isn't the whole fun in teaming up/backstabbing? I can't play a board game solo anyway though... I've tried, it doesn't work, I mean I have a Playstation 3, I feel like if I am playing anything alone it should be that.
I do play a lot with one other person though, how is this as a 2-player game? I am guessing it's a game that is best with 3+ players, depending on the downtime.
I am glad there are miniatures, that sometimes makes or breaks a game for me. I wanted to get into Dungeon Twister, but it turned me off with it's tokens that act like miniatures. I would rather pay more if the characters were painted, I can't paint at all and I don't really know anyone that does. I already have a few games with unpainted miniatures (castle ravenloft/runebound), that's a lot of paint work!

It's Mice & Mystics. It's mentioned on Colby's Facebook page, and he talked about it recently at DenCon. It sounds really fun.
Though I'm stoked at any PHG games that are in the pipeline. I've a bit of reservation that this seems to be another high fantasy themed game -- of which they have tons already, so I don't know what kind of game this will be and what it will offer.
Nonetheless I trust Team PHG. This should be an awesome title :D
Also... +1 on solo play. My past week has been spent on solo Thunderstone and I might get other soloable games like Labyrinth: The War on Terror and Wrath of Ashardalon.
It's definitely a boon when you get the gaming itch and you've got nobody to play with.

I admit the idea of solo play intrigues me, and in theory appeals to me. It's not always easy to find another player. Hopefully my wife will dig DR. She loves Battlelore (mostly 'cause she usually - like almost always - wins)...and I'm sure I can get her to play at least once. So, if she likes it...I'm golden. If not, it's nice to have the solo option.

A title like Mice & Mystics sounds more like Redwall or Mouse Guard than high fantasy to me. Anyone know if there's audio for the DenCon talk? I thought they mentioned in the podcast that it might be made available but I haven't seen anything else about it.

Well yeah maybe high fantasy isn't the correct term. But it still lends to DnD like settings.
