If a player's Summoner has a Freeze card on it, is that player still able to summon new units?
Also, the Elves' Burn and Greater Burn events are not able to be used against Summoners, correct, since the wording specifies common or champion units?

I believe freeze has the same wording...

Freeze affects all units, whether its a summoner or not.

Summoning is not a move attack or special ability. So yes, you can summon even though your summoner is frozen.
Burn does not work against a Summoner, only a common or champion unit.

Thanks. The question about freezing came up during a game with my brother yesterday, and that's how we ended up interpreting it.
I have another freeze related question: Does a frozen goblin still count towards the bonus provided by Gang-Up?

Good question. Yes it does. The frozen can't use gang-up but he can count as an adjacent goblin bonus when another goblin uses gang-up, as he's not required to be able to move, attack, or use a special ability to count toward that bonus.
I have another freeze question. First let me set it up by asking an Eater question. The Eater eats at the end of every one of your attack phases regardless of whether he attacked or not right?
Does a frozen eater still eat at the end of your attack phase. Or is it considered part of the special abilities that cannot be used?

And I guess the follow-up to that is, if the Eater can't or doesn't eat while frozen, does it still get discarded?

Mmmm... Frozen dinner... :D

hmm that's a good question and i would have to say yes the eater can still eat. I believe i played a game where we had a frozen warrior from the phoenix elves and he was still able to use blaze step. don't quote me on this though.

Frozen Eaters cannot eat at the end of their turn, but they also cannot be discarded for not eating. You can't use your special ability when frozen. So no blaze stepping when frozen either (ultimobean). Yes, a frozen smasher is somehow harder to hit than an unfrozen one... I can't explain it... it just is. :D

Wow. That gives a whole new meaning to the term "Ice Walls"
I'm going to have to try that sometime.

Cool. I look at the Eater's ability as a detriment rather than a bonus, but that may be from playing too much MtG where sacrificing cards is bad. I also didn't read him right the first time I looked at the card and didn't realize that you could eat enemy commons. I need to play with him more to change my impression of him.

You could really clean up a game by freezing the summoner. There may be things like freeze in other factions one day, like entangling roots in a nature themed faction.
Abilities that you have are different from the abilities that the summoner holds (his/her abilities)
