During Summer and Winter breaks I enjoy doing a lot of world building. In one of my projects I began writing a language and created a distinct culture. I've decided to try to incorporate them into Summoner War customs. First up are the Shadow Warriors (Sonnexax Yelvajzin)

(Key to the stats: A=attack power; L=life, S=summon cost, Sw=melee attack, B=ranged attack)

Shadow Warriors
Lekshe – Summoner
LeksheNon- Champion
LeksheNesh- Champion
LeksheLek- Champion
Shadows - Common
Mages - Common
Spectars - Common

Lekshe (A-2, L-5, B)
Master of Shadows
Instead of attacking with Lekshe you may
summon any common Shadow Warrior Unit to any
point on your side of the battlefield. You
must move the correct ammount of cards
from your Magic Pile to Discard Pile.

LeksheNon (A-3, L-5, S-4, Sw)
Life Link
For every creature that LeksheNon kills, you may remove
1 wound marker from Lekshe. When LekshNon is killed,
add one wound to Lekshe.

LeksheNesh (A-4, L-4, S-6, Sw)
Shadow on the Wind
LeksheNesh may move an extra 2 spaces during your
movement phase. If LeksheNesh moves more than 2.
spaces subtract 2 from his attack.

LeksheLek (A-3, L-5, S-5, Sw)
Quick Freeze
Instead attacking normally, you may roll 1 die.
If a hit is rolled, the attacked figure cannot
be moved and cannot attack or use any special abilities until
the end of your next turn.

Shadows (A-1, L-1, S-1, Sw)
Slip into Shadow
When attacked by an enemy unit, if that unit
does not roll a 4 or higher on any dice you
may ignore any wounds and move the attacked
shadow 1 space.

Mages (A-1, L-2, S-2, B)
Concentrated Will
When attacking with a Mage, if a 6 is rolled
add one additional wound to the attacked unit.

Specters (A-2, L-1, S-1, Sw)
Intangible
Specters may move through any unit the battle
field and friendly walls. Specters may not
move through an opponent's wall.

Event cards to come later. Enjoy.

Here are the Event Cards for the Shadow Warriors:

Pitch Black x2
Strength of the Darkness x3
Taken by the Shadow x2
Born of the Night x1
By the Strength of the Master x1

Pitch Black
All opponents units within 1 space (adjacent to and diagonally) of Lekshe or any of your walls may not move, attack, or use their special abilities until their next turn.

Strength of the Darkness
All friendly units within 2 spaces of Lekshe or any of your walls add 1 to their attack power for this turn.

Taken by the Shadow
Choose one common unit belonging to an opponent and you may immediately move up to two spaces and attack. This does not count against your normal Movement and Attack phases.

Born of the Night
Immediately after playing this card you may move any number of cards in your hand to your magic pile and then summon 1 champion from your hand.

By the Strength of the Master
Place up to 3 wound markers on Lekshe. You may then add an equal number of dice to the attack of one of your Champions.

Very cool. I like the abilities.

You say you created a language and culture? What's it like? I'm guessing its similar to the Shadow Warriors??

I was working on a story for the the three Champions and summoner in which they were banished to a realm called (fittingly) the Shadow Realm, a place in which only a shadow of yourself exists. Lekshe's embodiment in that realm was LeksheNon (literally, the Phantom of Darkness) but he was able to produce other shadows (two of which were LeksheLek -- Phantom of Ice -- and LeksheNesh -- Phantom of Wind).

I was never able to finish the whole language so it could be spoken but I have several pages written in it with both the standard characters we are familiar with and the runic system I developed. Yeah...I'm kind of a nerd :D

The culture comes into play when I talk about who Lekshe really was before being banished to the Shadow Realm. Each of their elements (Fire, Ice/Water, Air/Wind, Earth, Light/Lightning, and Shadow) had a deity and a temple hierarchy. The people themselves are really out there having almost a Chameleon or Drow like ability to blend into darkness and shadow (I did come up with that before learning even hearing about the Drow of D and D though, just saying).

Wow, that's awesome! Although making a language because of a game doesn't make you kind of a nerd. You're definitely a nerd. ^_^

No, no. The language wasn't because of the game, I just do that for fun :P

No, no. The language wasn't because of the game, I just do that for fun :P

And that's even more nerdy than doing it for a game. :p

Just wanted to give this a quick bump. Want some feedback on the Shadow Warriors as I have their counter-part ready as well.

Maybe add an event that discards Lekshenon?
