People just aren't going to leave the mat alone are they? :)

Though I think everyone gets it, as to why.

The thing is, people are going to have a downer opinion of the board, but I feel like those people fail to see the big picture that I have to operate in. It would be silly to package Summoner Wars in a big full-sized game box with a quad fold board and charge $40 for a starter with 5 dice, some cardboard wound markers, and 70 cards. At its core Summoner Wars is a card game, and $25 retail is what people want to pay for something like this. I've stated all over the web that I'm going to offer a premium board for about what the price difference that the customer would have been charged if I had put it in the box, only now it is the customers choice whether they want to spend the extra money on it.

On the other hand, Truth... People only have one real complaint against your game, and it's not even about the gameplay! So there is that. :D

That's a good point. The only other 'knock' that I agreed with was in the review from thedicetower when Tom Vassel stated that he would have liked the event cards to have all their own art.

Again though, I'm sure costs had something to do with it and it still doesn't have anything to do with game play. If all anyone has to complain about is peripheral stuff, then you know you have something, and you definitely do truth.

I only own the Elves/Orcs set right now, and I'm chomping at the bit to grab the 2nd set.

I'll be bringing the game with me to TotalCon next month in Mansfield, MA. I'll be sure to try and play in an area with plenty of traffic.

It has been mentioned that could be due in part to the possibility of additional summoners for the same faction in the future. Seeing the same picture will make it easier to set up that deck if you get them mixed together.

Also, the Ice Wall art is slightly different than the rest. ;)

Hmmm... funny how they both mention the mat... ;)

Still I thought it was funny how the guy in the beginning Hadoken'd the girl into existence.
