So, I was bored earlier today, so I decided to read through the Summoner Wars rulebook again.

And I realized that I had been playing the first turn of every single one of my ~30 games incorrectly. Since I was always the teacher, no one ever noticed. I had been starting at part 4 (movement) every time, but I was letting people move the full 3 cards that turn, instead of 2 as it says you're supposed to.

*sigh*

Well, I've never had that problem in the handful of games I've played. :D

Of course, if we start talking Heroscape, that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

Guilty, as well. :o

Even after, I believe they were Mr. Bistro's, recent comments on the cool opening mechanic, I still managed to allow the full 3 cards. Now I have to reevaluate that (now much tougher) decision.

Jexik, when you make your 10 Most Common Summoner Wars Mistakes thread, you'll want to put this close to the top of the list.

Hah! I only knew this because Truth taught me the rules at Gencon last year. :p

My first game was against Truth too, but that one detail somehow slipped my mind.

Man, that must really suck; i don't think i ever did that but i might have made a few mistakes with some other things. Games with a lot of depth can get VERY complicated to the point where you could have almost infinite questions.
