View Full Version : Stacking Event Cards that do not confer "Special Abilities"

I think I know the answer to this, but I wanted to confirm. Sorry if it was already asked... I don't think it has...

The rules are very clear that if you play multiple event cards that confer special abilities on Units, special abilities with the same name do not stack.

However, what about cards that do not confer special abilities? I imagine that these could "stack"... but I wanted to make sure. Specifically:

Heroic Feat: If I played 2x Heroic Feat on a single Unit, could I add 4 to their attack value?

Goblin Rush: If I played 2x Goblin Rush, could I move the same units once with one card, and once with the other?

Thanks!

In this case, both of them would be useable. Since they augment something instead of making a new power and multiple augments of the same thing are allowed, this would be legal.

Can I put two freezes on the same unit?

Yes event cards that don't give special abilities can stack.

You can double heroic feat and put it up to a +4 for one unit.

You can put two freezes on the same unit, and your opponent has to spend 2 magic for each freeze to remove it.

Etc.

NICE! I hand't thought of doing either of those!

Good question. I was also a bit hazy on what conferred a Special Ability (and was therefore un-stackable) & what didn't.

The two examples you showed could stack because they are "adding" for heroic feat. For the Rush it wouldn't stack, you would just use the second one after the first one. Other things like adding abilities that a unit already has (with a different name) would make you choose between the two, when the requirements were met.
